
Christmas Advent Wreath
(5 years old & above)
Materials:
Medium Size Paper Plate (cut out the middle part)
TP Roll
Red & White Japanese Paper
Green & Yellow Washable Paint
Green & Red Construction Paper
Red Crepe Paper
Glue
Stapler
Procedure:
1. Let the kids paint the front side of the paper plate. Let it dry.
2. Ask the kids to paint the TP roll yellow. Let it dry.
3. When the front side of the paper plate is dry. Then paint the back side green. Let it dry.
4. While waiting for the paint to dry, give the kids a ¼ portion of the red crepe paper. Let them cut it 1” long. There should be 3-4 red strips.
5. Give each kids small portion of red and green construction paper.
6. Let them draw and cut 3 holly leaves in a green construction paper.
7. Let them draw and cut 3 circles in a red construction paper.
8. Cut out 4x4 squares of white and red Japanese Paper.
For the Wreath:
1. Roll the red strips around the green wreath.
2. Stick the last portion of the strip to the wreath.
For the candle:
1. Stick the 3 holly leafs at the bottom of the TP roll.
2. Stick the red holly fruits on top of the leaves.
3. For the flame, fold the 4x4 red and white squares together in a triangular form. Then stick 1 pair at the front and 1 pair at the back.
4. Staple the candle to the wreath.
I hope you like this advent wreath. You can hang this on the wall. Or you can add a string to make it as a mobile.
